Explore on Android, iPhone and iPad

Choose Circle or Family tree, pinch to zoom and drag to explore. Start with you opens the Human entry. Search finds a branch or species; Related compares two entries and shows their shared ancestor.

Settings offers System, Light and Dark themes. The native app works offline and follows Android’s Remove animations or Apple’s Reduce Motion setting. New content arrives with app updates.

Dates and sources

Lifetree is a curated introduction, rather than a complete catalogue of all species. Evolutionary dates are rounded estimates, and some relationships remain uncertain. Each entry includes sources and relevant caveats.
